I’ve always believed that costumes do much more than just „dress“ a character—they tell the story before a single word is spoken. For me, it’s about the tension between the fabric, the body, and the light.
My approach comes from two very different worlds that I’ve been bridging for over twenty years. My early days in photography gave me what I call a „school of seeing“—a deep obsession with how light and composition change everything. Later, through years of work in performance art, I learned how materials actually move and react with the human body. This allows me to jump between the high-pressure precision of a film set and the more abstract, conceptual freedom of art projects without losing my way.
When I’m not on set, I pour that same energy into Zirkuss, the store and brand I co-founded in Zurich. Whether I’m designing a collection or consulting for other labels, my focus stays the same: creating something that lasts, looks effortless, and stays true to a visual story.
